While conducting classes and bed side sessions for undergraduate medical students during their orthopaedic posting, it is often noticed that history taking and clinical examination of patients can be a daunting task for students. Students are often confused regarding the myriad of tests and examination techniques described in the various available textbooks. Hence it was planned to make available a book for easy reading and understanding with diagrammatic representation of the various tests. With the popularity and easy usage of electronic media, this book is being made available in E-book format. The first edition of this E-book is mainly intended to appeal to undergraduate medical students and residents in their early years of training. Although a great deal of experience is required to take an adequate history and do a thorough examination, it is hoped that this book provides the necessary knowledge and confidence to ensure that the process will be smooth.
